So Home Return Permit is the only option for HKSAR passport with 3* HKID holders or is there any other option like 5/10 year tourist visa as well with recent more lenient visa policies?

Only if you lie about your Hong Kong resident status and somehow it goes undetected. Normally they check the white slip from HK IMMD if you claim to be a visitor to HK. Otherwise they'll want to see your HKID.

Of course, if you apply in a third country it'd be much easier to not disclose your HK resident status.

Yes that i understand from your previous post but what if the holder has only HKSAR Passport and HKID as identification document?

"Visa" by definition is for foreign nationals so cannot be issued to Chinese nationals. If the holder has only HKSAR passport then just get the Home Return Permit. Why would you need another option if the HRP is available? I don't understand.

If she is a Chinese national, then she should have a Chinese name, or a transliteration of her name in Chinese. Just like a Japanese national would have his name written in Japanese.

Then just give her a Chinese name, or transliterate her name in Chinese. Its not difficult.

Morrison, alexdown and BritishRose like this.
