Travel outside HKG during VISA valididty but after resigning

Good day,

I would like to enquire if a person on GEP VISA can travel outside of Hong kong freely after resigning from the company. The VISA is valid till next year but the person has left the employment of his company ( ie notice period is completed) and is currently in discussions for next job.

It is no problem. I have done it as well and re-entered HK on that visa to search for new employment. Obviously if I didn't find a new sponsor before the expiry date of the visa I would have needed to leave HK.

Thanks for your prompt reply. This means that I don'e even need to go to immigration department for checking if I can travel outside HKG without any restrictions. Is my understanding correct? Rgds

Yes, your understanding is correct. You may travel freely in and out until the expiry date of your visa.
