Current dependant visa renewal processing time

Hey guys, I'm a HK PR. Just renewing my parents dependent visa which is due to expire early Feb so I can't apply for extension just yet.

Official line is that it takes 2-3 weeks to process, but I read on past threads here that it is often approved in a few hours, is this correct?

Appreciate any recent experience that anyone has had. TIA!

Last year paper was possible, but from 17 January 2025 only online visa applications can be made.
