Refugee to HKID process & timing after marriage?

    Well I actually went through the AU partner visa process myself 18 years ago and yeah it wasn’t easy back then… lots of tears, paperwork, stress and fees. In the end I’m grateful to AU for having me, letting me live and work there and giving me citizenship. I can’t imagine going to the U.S. anytime soon. So crossing fingers HK works out.

    I presume you weren't a refugee applicant at the time of your partner visa application. Just imagine what they'll do to a partner visa applicant who is also a refugee. Australia is the country that invented mandatory detention and offshore refugee processing.
