Was your absence from Hong Kong physically continuous for 16 years? Like you never entered Hong Kong even for an hour for transit to check out the airport etc. I mean if that's the case please tell us some then and now stories!

To keep it brief, I consider myself fortunate. I was genuinely concerned about facing a downgrade, but luck seemed to be on my side! After being in complete isolation for 16 years without any chance to travel, I've never had the opportunity to explore the vibrant southeastern countries. This is something I truly look forward to experiencing! :-):-)

    Hi OrganicDancer again,
Do I need to refill the application? Are there other forms to complete as well? When I was filling out the application, it didn't mention anything about the number of years of residence. The application focuses on the first registration of the HK ID, which is over 11 years. If it gets rejected, is there another form to submit? I'm so confused..

The key question is what does YOUR HKID say. Is it ***AZ, AZ or RZ? This is important because it affects the status of your son.
