Going to Macau -visa renewal

thx for the tip hktraveller! we are still sorting out whether to hang out in Macau for 2 nights. do you know of any inexpensive good place to stay?

I know of a room in a place near the ferry terminal where 2 Indonesian domestic helpers live. They rent it out for 150 a night. PM me with the travel date if interested and I will see if it is free.
If you plan to stay in a cheaper hotel, I believe it will be from about 300, but weekends (Fri-Sat) are more expensive.

It's usually cheapest to just hunt around at the Hong Kong ferry Terminal and see who has the best 2 day package including hotel. Booking a hotel by yourself will work out to be the most expensive, there are a number of 2 day/weekend package deal agents at the ferry terminal, and in my opinion, if you are looking for the cheapest possible deal, that will be it...

You won't be dissapointed, unless you're the type that wants to pay peanuts, and expects 5 star treatment.. You get what you pay for, but they'll have something pleasant available, I'm sure...

Avoid the Central Hotel ( 新中央酒店 ) at any cost. It is a dumphole. They don't even let you view the room for that reason. It will not be on offer at the ferry terminal.

Out of the budget hotels, the East Asia Hotel ( 東亞酒店 ) is one of the best.

There is another major difference. Cotaijet belongs to the Venetian. They have a promotion going. If you get yourself a membership card at the Venatian and stick it into any of the gambling machines for one full hour (No need to throw money is, just sit there) they will give you a free ticket for the same day. So if money is really an issue over time and you can control yourself not to want to get rich instantly, this may be a way to save 150 bucks.

Thanks for the info. Although it's not something we'll take up - an hour in a smoky casino is not our idea of fun!

450 to 550 is very easy if not saturday/pre holiday. Just go to the HK ferry terminal and chose one in the price range. I an not sure if the emperor can be had for that, but it would most likely not be much more.
