How long to wait?

Just a quick one. We are about to send off a work permit application. How long did you wait before it came? I know they quote 4 weeks but is that worst case or actual? Cheers!

Four weeks at earliest.

My experience in applying for a work investment visa is that they beat the published times IF all the submissions are in and done properly. I added a few weeks as I had to add 3 more bits of info but left for Canada for 3 weeks and when the delay was subtracted, they were within their stated times.

If your employer has done it all before and without issues, you should be fine.

I'm sure it's case by case but I received mine in just over 2 weeks.

Thanks for the quick reply. What kinds of extra info could they ask for ( in addition to what has already been sent?)
