    Red face tourist visa

    Hi all,

I arrived in Hong Kong in December, with a tourist visa. So I had 3 months Visa. Few weeks ago, I went to the immigration to get an extention. They gave me one but only for one months
So now I am thinking about going to Macau but I am wondering if they will give me another 3 months... I just planned to take the ferri and then come back to Hong Kong...
Do you guys think they will give me the 3 months...
oh and I don't have any proof that I will be leaving the country so no return ticket...
    any tips for me??

    Thanks

    stef

they are concerned that you are looking for work while here, which is illegal.

they could very well give you 2-3 days to get out of hk or they could be kind and give you longer...but sounds to me like they won't. there will be a record in your file that says you've already applied for an extension.

I agree with carang. Time for you to plan to move on I guess.

Yup time you moved on as 4 months is more than enough really.
Your mistake was to ask for an extension as opposed to doing the visa run as that would of bought you another 3 months.

You could risk it but be prepared to be asked to leave HK within a few days of arriving back into HK.
