Talking Temporary HKID to Permanent HKID?

    Hello y'all!

Was hoping for some inputs on my situation.

When I was a teen, my pop was assigned in HK thus I was on a dependent status. I went to Jr-High and HighSchool in HK from 91 till 97. After which I went back to my home country to finish Tertiary studies. In 2003 I worked in the US for about a year and a half and have now been transferred to HK. Been here over a year now. I was wondering if it were possible for me to apply for Permanent Residency?

oh yeah, I've got a work visa that I am about to renew next week. During the time I was away (1998 till 2003), I visited my dad a few times as he has been in HK ever since but just retired early this year. (dunno of that's of any help).

Just get a pen and change the code "C" to an "A". You will need a very good pen though.

Hey Tall Dude! your situation is nothing so complicated at all about changing the ID card to permanent. if you where staying all total time in Hongkong for more then 7 years doesn't matter if you gone or stay at least you are prensenting your sefl in Hongkong often, Easy peasy for you to get one ID for permanently residence of course with your employment work supports too....... for more detail go to hongkong immigration department to find out or check their website. good luck
