    Resurrecting the thread.

    By 'creating jobs for locals' does that mean anyone who is legally able to work here or just PR?

    Eg, dependent visa / RTL / Unconditional stay etc.

    I would suspect that 'local' means only Chinese. The entire Immig scheme (indeed the entire HK govt scheme) is not set up to welcome 'others' but to sieve out the good guys from the bad. And it's obvious now that the good guys are all Chinese.

    When we fill in the forms for Immigration, they ask for "people on working visa's" and "others" meaning that everyone on other kinds of visas seems to be treated as local. But that's for more working visas not an investment visa.

    "Local" certainly includes all PRs. I didn't think it included Dependents (but maybe Min07's experience is different).. RTL and Unconditional Stay I'm not at all sure. Why not ask InvestHK or ImmD?
