How can immigration office verify my PR in other country?

    Hello,

    Here I've got another question...

I am a Chinese passport holder living abroad and I have a PR in this country. So I had to go through the general employment policy for applying for work permit in HK.

However, the HR didn't ask me to submit any document to prove my PR or resident status... Did she forget or I don't need to? Maybe the immigration office has some other ways to check it?

    Thanks for advice!

    BR,
    Ceci

I suspect ImmD will contact you when they review the application in order to get some proof from you (what exactly that is is going to depend on the country in question I guess).

    Thanks PDLM!
I thought ImmD would contact me or HR for proof too...but it has been more than two weeks. They didn't ask for anything further. The HR told me that she called them two days ago. They said it would take two weeks more, but didn't ask for more paper from me....strange....

If you're concerned about possible delays in processing time why don't you proactively send them a copy of your proof of PR?
That way they won't have to come back to you when they have to tick that box, and you won't have to worry about it anymore...

The thing is that the HR lady is taking care of my application. She didn't ask me to submit any paper regarding my PR. I even wrote mail to remind her about it... Since she is quite experienced at such work permit thing, I would follow her guidance.....it's really strange though if they do not ask for the PR proof... I will wait for another week and see..
