    Questions relating to China Visa

    1. How long in advance do you need to apply?

    2. Where do I apply?

    3. How much does it cost?

    4. What do I need to support my application?

I am going on a field trip, I am a British Citizen and I have a HK ID card, though not with permenant residency.

Try looking into this official site, quite helpful and you can also call up and ask about visa questions:

neither of these links have relevant info for uk passport holders.

Most of all i'd like to know if having the HKID card makes a difference to the application process

    Give them a ring: 23157188

I think it depends on what kind of HK ID card you have, if it's a three stars one, then you might be easier. Sorry not too much of an expert, you better off giving them a ring to ask: 23157188.

Permanent ID card holders can apply for a 3 year multiple entry visa $1000.
I think British Nationals with a permanent ID can apply for these as well.

Hi I just applied for a visa to China it cost $670 for a double entry and lasts for three months. I went to The China Resource Building in Wan Chai. It is really easy to get to walk down Gloucester road passed the immigration tower, and it's on harbour round and Fleming road. It will cost around $850 at a travel agents. It only took 3 days to process. Take a recent photo with you as they charge $40 there. Hope this helps if you need to know more i'd be happy to help. (All of the above is for a British passport holder.)

P.S you can check the price of other visas on a little touch screen before you apply.
