thanks for your input, i will check out those areas. I tend to compare the housing prices to NY where you luxury amenities are easily found, but its going to be a little more difficult in HK at the same prices.

your best bet is Olympic. you will definitely find something there with all your requirements within your budget. plus, the residential buildings there are connected to a mall so you'll have everything you need (supermarket, atm/banks, food court, convenience stores, etc.) without having to go out into the street.

Hi! I saw your post about looking for a flatmate. Have you had any luck? I am a 28 year old female moving to HK at the end of July and will be looking for a place in Central aswell. Let me know if your keen to meet up and look for a place.
    Thank,

So somebody was looking for a place to stay and i was trying to help. Why was my post deleted? Not the first time either. Over on asiaxpat which is far from perfect but with a management that is slightly smarter, something like this would never have happened.

ROFL! What a ridiculous statement. Asiaxpat is simply an advertising site. No negative comment about any business or commercial entity in Hong Kong is allowed. The level of censorship is orders of magnitude greater than here on Geo.

The only smart thing about the asiaxpat management is their ability to make money. The site itself serves very little useful purpose except ass a giant billboard for its advertisers.

if the obvious isnt obvious enough, there is a forum for apartment sharing / roomates

it is very easy to use. click on it.
if you are too cheap to spend $10 for an ad, than i guess you are too cheap for me to share an apartment with you.
