    Causeway Bay

I'm moving to HK i June, and my friend who is there at the moment has recommended a place called Causeway Bay. It sounds convenient, but very busy. Is it? Bear in mind I'm used to the slower pace of Sydney...

Yes, Causeway Bay would be one of the busier parts of town. On the week-end you can put yourself anywhere near Sogo or Times Square and just body-surf the crowds. But...it is very convenient & a nice shopping/dining area.

I think most residential buildings in that area are going to be very old though... So make sure to get here and look around before deciding on anything!

Causeway Bay is one of the most densely populated places in the world.

If you have never been to Hong Kong, you really can't picture it. But, try to imagine the Pitt Street Mall at two days before Christmas. Then triple the amount of people. Still, that is nothing compared to Causeway Bay on a Saturday night (or almost any time really).

Hong Kong is very different to Sydney city.

    Good Luck!

Think this is one of the best description of Causeway Bay. And not forgetting that the crowd is always there....Every day of the week and it just intensifies over the weekends.

Ya, I thought it was the whole country, not just part...
