    Bamboo Grove?

The family and I have been in HK now for four days. We've looked at some properties and the one that stood out for us is Bamboo Grove. The apartment that meets our budget is on the 2nd floor. The agent told us that the construction outside our window will restart in september, not sure how bad this is.

If anyone can shed some light on life in Bamboo Grove, I will be very grateful.

Bamboo Grove is all rental units, 95% expats, great facilities and everything.

If they say there is going to be outdoor renovation and scaffolding, i would be very wary. There will be alot of noise dust etc. for the next 6 months. If you can't find anything better then make sure you negotiate a discount. There is limited vacancy there, but it is very convenient to Wan Chai and buses to central.

If the construction work you are referring to is the St. James' Settlement project then that's a good two buildings away, so I think it could be worse and I think they have completed the foundations, which occurs to me as the noisiest portion of a building project.

Apart from a couple of renovations in the vicinity, I cannot think of any other construction site on that side of Kennedy. Also the 2nd floor of Bamboo Grove is not as low as many would think.

Hi Bamboo Budge, we've moved in and are really happy here. We've only been here a few weeks. We waited for an apartment to become available on a higher floor. The children love all the facilities and I love the fact that I can walk to the MTR, shops, supermarket etc. We are still settling in but if you need anything specific let me know and I will try and answer your questions. Good luck!
