Are you talking about this one? Hong Kong Gold Coast Residences

It only says 18k+ for the prices, that's out of my budget. For taxi, it's maybe because when I stay out late which I plan to do quite often. Those two places seem to be kinda far out. Would there be anything nearer? My last budget stretch would be 15k.

Yes - I was - but you'll get nothing useful looking at websites. You actually have to get out and talk to people to find out what the real prices are. There are plenty of empty flats available, if you talk to them you might find something smaller they would rent for less.

But - no - if you want to party in LKF every night, I would NOT recommend moving out here. The connections are fine for normal commuting because there are peak hour resident buses, but not for late night. Then you have 50mins-1 hour bus ride which can get tedious. (direct bus though - locals just sleep on it).

I think you need to rethink your priorities. You need to be looking at tiny, tiny places closer to Central or a flat share. You just can't have everything in HK. I had a friend to found a tiny place for 13k in Soho 3 years ago - rents are likely much higher now - but if you could get a flat share with someone who didn't want a long term commitment you might be ok.

Re the royal view - there is a 24 hour bus service from Mongkok and Jordan and Causeway Bay (same bus, public light red-top) which is pretty fast and goes right past that place. It goes on to Gold Coast too, but the double-decker is faster from LKF.

Did you ask about Horizon Hotels ? They have 4 hotels in different places (2 in Kowloon sides which rent is higher, 2 in New territories), I saw their ads , their rents are less than HK$10,000 for rooms 600sq.ft up. You may check their website.

There are a lot of night buses in hk. Generally you won't need a taxi except maybe to get to a night bus stop.
