I'm pretty sure the hotel I linked to would be ok, or is 30 mins a huge commute?

I'm looking at the hotel now actually (loading HK pages seems to take ages from the UK). Looks good so far. 30 minutes is not a huge commute. I do 45-60 minutes now stuck in traffic into Canary Wharf (should take 15 minutes according to google maps...never happened to me).

Exactly but after a while in hk people will say "You commute more than SIX minutes to work?!! are you CRAZY?" and you'll start to believe them. Before long you'll be saying it yourself

Oh and don't worry HK public transport is reliable, although MTR will be a tight squeeze in certain areas during rush hour (better than traffic though i think)

Ha, I used to commute from S E London to Hammersmith - over an hour each way which I got on with (except those darn leaves and the wrong kind of snow!). Can't imagine doing that here
