    break lease or re-let?

    having just moved to HK 2 months ago, and moved into a brand new 3br apartment on hollywood rd 1 month ago - standard contract with break clause after 12 months. unexpectedly my employer is now opening an office in singapore and i will be moving down there in the near future.
    what are the rules for breaking the lease or re-letting the remaining period of my lease?
    can i just contact real estate agents and ask them to find a tennant to take over the existing lease?

    You technically cannot re-let or sub-let without the landlord's consent. I'd bet your lease does not allow it.
