I currently live in Kowloon but next year I plan to move to HK island to live closer to my kids' school. It should be our last year in HK but in actual rental length it would be only 8 or 9 months.
Is it possible to find in the island (close to MTR because my husband works on Kowloon side) a two bedroom for a 8 months period and no more than 28k/month?
It seems that serviced apartments are very expensive in this area, or do you know any that can satisfy my conditions?
Or is it possible to find short term rental other than serviced apartments?
Or finally is it possible to take a one year lease and leave before with proof of employment abroad (would they basically give us back our deposit?)?

You have to negotiate directly with the landlord, but if for example, you were willing to pay the 8 months rent in advance, I'm sure some landlords would agree. 28K- should be easy to find, but depends what kind of apartment you want.
