Greetings, recently relocated to HK, looking at a few places, does anyone have the experience on negotiate the asking price in HarbourFront? HF doesn't like other places on pricing negotiation, asking price am told, also am told only 3 units avaliable, it is their busy season, could be leasing at any moment, with nothing avaliable. i find that's hard to believe, whereever i go checking out the rental for the last couple of weeks, empty units all over the place both on the island side and Kwoloon side

Would you mind share how much you guys were paying, and how much the rent goes up in a year?

I was paying $16800 last year (contract ended in August 2011) and they raised it to $18,600 so I moved. I was in block C, 5/F facing wanchai.

Yikes, am in Harbourfront Horizon 2bedroom at $19K. Haven't renewed (still on first year), so hope they don't raise the fees on me too much. Am on 10th floor.

I just visited them yesterday. Seems they only have a few vacancies. If anyone wants to share one of these flats I am interested. Please feel free to call or text me at 6423-6949.
    Cheers,
    Ben

thanks, sound lik ejack up price is a very common practice. I run into a guy on a gathering last Friday night said he got a good deal somewhere 16K for a smaller unit but that could be a week ago when he got it. but when i check with them, the lady just laugh, saying they don' thave those prices. and they don't offer reservations, it is first come first serve.

    I paid 17k 1 1/2 years ago. 19-21k now sounds about right.
