Angry Harbourfront Horizon shuttle bus frequency

    Hi,

I just moved in few days ago and I found that it is impossible to get on the shuttle bus in the early morning to go to work (i.e. 8am, 8:15am..). I have asked front desk tonight to request them to pass the message to increase the bus frequency in the morning and he said he will pass my message to management, but I doubt it. So I asked management's e-mail address (fro[email protected]) and will write a message tonight.

If you have same thought (i.e. increase frequency of shuttle bus like every 10min between 7:30am and 9:00am), would appreciate if you can drop a message to management office as well.

Not sure if this will work, but will try and hope you can join me as well.

    Thanks!
    Madsion

    Let's collect signatures

    Guys,

I propose we write a list of the suggestions we have to the Management (cable, recycle bins, shuttle bus, gym, taxi...) then collect as much signatures as possible and give them.

Is there any english native in this forum who can write a nice letter?

In my previous condo (few blocks away - Royal Peninsula) there were some recycled containers for Plastic bottle, Cans and even used clothes.
I guess it is not difficult to obtain them.

Hope we can success in our request,

    Cheers

    Collect signatures..

Smartacg - I was just about to suggest that! If someone can whip up a letter, I'll volunteer to go door knocking in Block E for signatures: am unemployed at the moment so have plenty of time on my hands

I'm a native English speaker... I will see what I can come up with. Going away for the weekend but will try to have something by Tuesday. I live in E and am currently unemployed too!

    Hi

I am in agreement with the gym. Firstly, I cannot understand why they need to close from 3 to 4pm.. and 9 pm which is obviously too early. By the way, I think they should also ensure that people that goes into the gym wear proper attire at least a sneaker and not slipper.
They will take the effort to ask which block you are from before allowing you to use the gym cannot understand why they cannot stop people from going into the gym if they are wearing slippers.

Fortunately, I have a gym membership and only go there occasionally because of my timing but i would be glad to sign a petition.

I gave up taking the shuttle boss during peak hours in the morning. Yes and I do agree that the management should at least increase the frequency or at least allocate 2 buses to pick up the passengers because each time they are only allow to carry 16passenger?? ( not too sure about the amount but somewhere around there)

If you need my signature, please drop me a e-mail at [email protected]
    Staying at BLK C

    Regards

    letter and signatures

    Hi guys,

MollDoll77 = we are waiting for the draft of the letter...

I am staying at tower B - anyone volunteer to collect signatures with me? - evening time as I am working late & usually away for the w-e.

for those complaining about shortage of buses on the morning, you could start collecting signatures while queuing up

    Ciao

Okay, here is my first draft... please feel free to add any changes or let me know what you think...

    Dear Harbourfront Horizon Management:

We have been relatively happy Harbourfront Horizon residents, however upon several discussions with neighbors, we have all agreed that this apartment complex needs some changes. Below we have listed our frustrations along with possible remedies, and hope you will take them into consideration.

    1. Gym hours and usage – We would all appreciate longer hours in the evening, and more time during the day. Proposed hours: 6:30am to 10:00pm. If you must take a break during the day, please do not do so during peak lunch hours; instead, how about 2:00-3:00pm? Also, please check footwear/attire for gym users; some of it is inappropriate (i.e. slippers instead of sneakers, etc.).

    2. Pool hours – Why must you close during the nicest part of the day (12:00-2:00pm)? That is when most of us would like to use the pool. We propose no break at all, but if you must, we suggest later in the afternoon.

    3. Recycling – Other apartment complexes have bins, such as the Royal Peninsula, and we wish you would place bins for glass, plastic, cans and newspapers in each garbage area.

    4. Shuttle bus commuting – It always seems impossible to use the bus, especially during peak morning commute hours. We suggest having two buses at a time (to carry more passengers) or running the buses more frequently from 7:30am-9:00am, every 10 minutes rather than 15 minutes.

    5. Cable television – While we appreciate “free” television, the cable channels we currently have are insufficient, especially English-language news. It has become painfully clear that we cannot install our own outside cable source such as NOW TV, so please offer a better selection in the channels we are allowed to receive. If you cannot do that, perhaps you could offer a package within Harbourfront Horizon that we could pay for in addition to what we have. At least add CNN – it is based right here in Hong Kong!

We realize that this is a relatively new facility so things may not be perfect yet, but these are major issues that we have noticed and kindly urge you to take them into consideration as soon as possible.

    Thank you and regards.
    Sincerely,

    Hi

    Seems Good - thank you.

    Just few remarks:

For the gym and the pool, it was the same in my previous bldg and they will tell you that the staff needs a break for Lunch and Diner.
On the other hand, considering the huge amount of staff in this residence, they should be able to organize a shift easily.

For the recycle containers, one location per Tower should be more than enough (no need one per floor)
(no need to quote the Royal Peninsula which is a private bldg).

    thks

    Will gladly sign petition.

A few things, I to have asked at front desk and get the brush off about pay TV, but what I dont understand is that the following are free on NowTV so why dont we have them all??
    Movie Trailer Channel
    Bloomberg Television
    Deutsche Welle
    Phoenix InfoNews Channel
    CCTV-9
    ETTV Asia News
    Traffic Channel
    Weather Channel
    Hong Kong Disneyland Channel
    now Shop
    YP Channel 502
    Panda Channel
    Snaap!
    Jia Yu Channel
    Dim Sum TV
    Creation TV
    Beautiful Life Television
    Australia Network
    CCTV-4
    Southern Television
    Phoenix Chinese Channel
    Lucky 88 Channel
    Sports Promotional Channel

Especially all English Channels. Also I agree, I would gladly pay for a package, especially sports etc.

Second, for the bus in peak hour in the morning, I just wonder how many people wait 15 minutes and then get off at the KCR?? That is the bigger problem. They have many buses, why cant they organise better. I find it unbelievable that the bus is full, yet they will still wiat until right on time to leave.

Agree, get the signatures when they line up for the bus.

Also suggest that any signatures be taken at the Harbourview, as I lived there first and they are just as frustrated.

    Good Luck
