Anybody recently stayed at Empire studio for a short term?

I need to find some sort of serviced apartments for 1 week once we arrive in HK, so that we can go apartment hunting during that time. Unfortunately, the week that we will be arriving, all the hotels I looked at offer their rooms at premium rates due to limited availability (as I was told by the reservations department). So, long story short, I came across Empire studios in Causeway Bay. They offer studios at a reasonable rate. From what I've read so far, those studios are shoe box sized studios, but that's ok, since we just need a clean place to wash and sleep for a few nights.
If somebody who has stayed there before can give me some review about that place, that would be great.
Is that place clean and updated, as shown on their website? I know that many accommodations do not look nearly as nice as their website states. Their photos could be outdated and retouched at many times...
    THX!

I am currently staying here. It is what you say it is. Shoe box size. a place to wash and clean yourself. serviced once a week for cleaning. I am using it as a temporary place to find a space I can feel comfortable in.

Thanks for your comment Phaeax. We decided to stay in a hotel now for a week or two upon arrival in HK. I am reading to many negative stories about these serviced apartments in HK, and it's not worth the hassle in our opinion. Good luck in finding a new place!

Hi Phaeax, you mind to share a little bit more detail please? I am also looking for a similar place for my further visit in HK. When you say shoebox sized flat, not even 200 sq ft.?
