    Am I asking too much...?

Ok, so I arrived in Hong Kong on Wednesday eve and have been frantically trying to organise some accommodation....I seem to be struggling finding something in my price range (8000 max) that isn't awful, tiny, dirty etc. I didn't realise I was expecting a lot or am I looking in the wrong places? I don't mind where I live, Flat-share with someone clean, serviced apartment, studio etc, don't mind where - Hong Kong Island, Kowloon etc as long as it is around 30mis from central areas, has some furniture, is clean and nice and has soime kind of Kitchen to cook occasionally - I'm not asking for an Aga but a fridge and microwave or something would be nice! Can anyone please help me??? I'm so stressed out about this and doing it jetlagged is not the best idea either! Ment to be moving out of my Hostel tomorrow and they have no beds left either!!
    Thanks in advance....

Pop by Park Island. You'll be able to get a fully furnish place for 8000 for 650 square feet. And it's 25 mins by ferry to Central.

Thanks, Sunniefaith, I was looking for somewhere that I could get to via bus, MTR or Train really? I'm happy to flat share too - any suggestions?

Lots of places available in that range.

    Do a search on gohome.com.hk

Well you didn't exactly tell us where you had already looked - so it is hard to say whether 8k per month is reasonable or not.

have you checked out the geoexpat classidfieds?
    also checkout: www.craigslist.com.hk

and of course the gohome site recommended by KIA...

Alternatively you may pick up HK Magazine today and see if there are any flat shares listed in there...
