Tons of rentals available in Aberdeen. Just depends on your budget.

    Wrong place to ask.

Look in the classifieds for specific rentals, or do what everyone else does and speak to an Agent when you arrive. DO NOT agree a lease until you actually see the flat, as most photographs here are doctored and things look completely different in real life anyway.

Well, our budget is 16000 max. Is there any way to approach owners directly?

    Are you an agent?

Loads of ways to rent owner direct. Its often been less hassle than dealing with an agent for me.

Classifieds section on here is good or maybe try this website: www.28hse.com

Problem with going direct is that you are only going access a tiny percentage of the available flats (maybe 1-5%?) whereas with an agent (or two) you get a wider choice. So it all depends how fussy you are - if "anything will do" then a small choice may not be a problem ......

Don't know where you are from, but if from a western country bear in mind that living in Aberdeen could be quite a cultural shock. Suggest you stay in a serviced apartment in that location (e.g. OVOLO) initially whilst you are looking for an apartment. That will give you time to see whether or not you like living in Aberdeen and to also look at properties in nearby locations (within approx 20 mins commute and with apartments within your budget, e.g. Chi Fu, Pokfulam Gardens, Stanley) that you may find you like better.

NEVER agree to any lease without viewing the apartment yourself!
