    Still seeking homestay options.

No luck finding anywhere. Does any one any have ideas on how to find homestay places here?

I take it homestay is where you stay as a guest in someone's house? If so most families have a problem squeezing into their houses, can't think homestay is popular here. [Now you will get an answer as someone will jump in to prove me wrong ]

Why not just stay in a hostel? Probably your cheapest option since I (also) doubt anyone is going to offer up a room in their home.

My friend started his life in HK in a homestay in some Kowloon housing estate 15 years ago. He lived on the sofa, I think. No idea how he found it!

That's what you think. Actually, it was in next door's bathroom.

Homestays do not seem to be so popular here in Hong Kong. I know they are very common in Japan but have not heard about it here in HK.
