    Thinking of moving

Hi there, we are currently living on Park Island. It's a great place, very family friendly, lots of space and nature for the children.. I am sure there isn't quite a similar place that I can find elsewhere in Hong Kong, but given that the kids are going to start preschool in Central soon.. we are wondering if there is any area on HK island or near Kowloon station that might have a similar environment/feel to Park Island?
    Any ideas? Thanks!

    Shhhh, Randy might hear you!

I thought PI had a pre-school? I don't have any young ones, so can't help.

    Budget? Size?

Pokfulam, South of the Island and Happy Valley are kids friendly with space and nature

But much more expensive than PI. And South Side may also take longer to get to Central than the PI ferry!

Well, there is a preschool on PI, which I always thought would be very convenient for my kids to attend. The long story cut short is that unfortunately, we don't think it's suitable now.

In so far as we are planning to hire a helper and move to a bigger place, we might as well consider moving out PI, even though staying on in PI is of course still an option.

About Pokfulam, Happy Valley etc.. I did a rough check and they do seem quite pricey..
hmm, I don't know, am I right to say that $30K for a 1200sqft is quite a low budget for these areas?

Low, but might be doable. Both lovely areas for preschoolers, close to nature and Central.

Hmmm, I am thinking of moving to either Pok Fu Lam or Olympic Station... both near Central. had a visit to Belcher last weekend, indeed a bit more expensive -- a flat with 3 bedroom & 2 bathroom will be out of our budget... almost 40k... more expensive than our currently flat in Mid Levels; my husband works in Central so we would like sth. quite convenient as well.

I haven't been to Olympic yet to check out flats there but will be happy to hear some feedback / advice. We will have a new born baby, of course in a year or so we will send the bb to playgroup in HK island...
