On the subject of transport, pretty unlikely these homeowners will wait for the bus or take to a HK$2m golf cart to get to the ferry. More private cars are expected and that has raised the prospect of a direct road being cut into the hillside just for their access. Also being bandied around is the prospect of a heli-pad being built.

DB is the land of silly rumours as many know but nothing surprises me about that place any more.

For a real look at how they have destroyed the habitat for these homes, take a look at google maps.

The government is working to get a direct bridge/tunnel/road built from HK Island for them. It'll also link through to the airport. Perfect! (Haven't you been following the 2030+ development plans?)

At the GC, we drive real Golfs, not silly Golf carts. Grownups prefer to live over here.

GC never aspired to be a nature friendly car-free exclusive enclave. DB did. And was. For a while.

Besides, whilst that would boost the property prices, it just negates the whole purpose of wanting to live there.

I'm sure the government will catch up eventually. Once they're done with the highly dubious Lantau ELM development, they can begin looking for other areas to destroy...
but they could double the density so $1m per flat...
