I was going to say that if you are working in Kowloon tong, you should consider that area to live, including Yau Yat Tsuen. Tat Chee ave, Fa Po Street, Oxford road, Lancashire road and La Salle road are some streets you could consider, and side streets that run off them. Another location that is quite close by is Beacon Hill around Ede road, Warwick road and Beacon Hill road.

Not sure about what the rents in that area are these days, but you should be able to find something quite high end, very white collar professional and peaceful for your budget. I'd probably lean toward the Beacon Hill apartments off Cornwall Street, as they'll have things like Gyms pools and tennis courts located in the same complex, not a separate club house located a block away, which is often the case in Tat Chee Ave ie Village Gardens town houses on the Festival walk side/end.

    you should listen to Skyhook/wtbhotia

    Dear ppo015,

you should listen to Skyhook/wtbhotia because they have suggested you the best places to live according to where you work. Do not live in Taipo. It might be really far and unpractical.
Besides, there are plenty of nice apartments/houses in Kowloon Tong + Festival Walk (a great shopping mall with everything you need).
You'll definitely like Kowloon Tong. Trust us. Just go there and see a realtor. Good luck!

Also, kowloon tong is the junction between the MTR and KCR.
MTR = metro that serves the city
KCR = kind of a suburban metro
Therefore, it's very convenient. Take the KCR if you want go hiking, take the MTR if you want shopping.
