    ...don't tempt me Shanghai38

Not a bad idea re the ark - with so many dogs around we could make it a dog-friendly drinking hole and call it The Bark. Sorry, I couldn't resist

I like it, but will have to be called The Bark Bark.

PI - where everything is so good it has to be named twice.

    For non-residents info -

(blue blue club, chic chic club, green green club)

    Yes, F&S,

It has to be called Bark Bark cafe! No doubles, not allowed! Wonder what's with the stupid names of the club houses.

It is rather odd, the double names....to be sure, to be sure!

    TV reception in Park Island

For those who plans to move to Park Island should prepare poor TV reception in Park Island. When bad weather like typhoon, heavy raining, TV reception is very poor unless you have digital TV. Cable TV totally losts signal (screen black out).

I think park island is the best value place to live in HK. Rents are going up though. I rented my place 1500 sqft for 31K a month, which is still great value compared to crowded mid levels. But still its not as cheap to live on Park Island as some people on this forum write. The reason is that more educated and wealthy expats are finding about park island and moving there, which is, inevitably pushing up rents. Good for the owners and property buyers, but not as good if want to rent an apartment on Park Island.

I am glad to hear it's not stupid and poor expats that are pushing up rents!

Ha ha - what I mean is that the demographics of Park Island are changing. It was first more local HK people living there. Now, more ex-pats who are finding out about it are moving there, and increased demand of course leads to increased prices.
