The other day, I was walking around MongKok and came across an unusually named hotel. Having 2 grandparents with similar ancestry, I did a double take at the name. Then I saw the price sign, and that made me giggle.

Lo and behold, when I just searched for it, I found the exact same sign that I saw on the interwebs.
OP, this place fits your budget but you have to be quick, real quick

That is amazing. I lived there 20 years ago, and the price was HK$60 then.

OP said it was now closer to HK$100, but in some ways I can expect prices to be similar to 20 years ago at the bottom. Wages for the lowest paid haven't changed that much.

Garden hostel is 100 HK dollars for a top bunk and 120 HK dollars for a bottom bunk, so far as I am aware. Another place prominently advertised at the front of the Chungking Mansions is the Taiwan hostel, floor 3, block A.. We are told that there is a promotion price of 80 HK dollars a night. In fact, the price is 100 HK dollars a night Monday to Friday and 180 dollars a night Saturday and Sunday. They showed me the dorm. Every last space is taken up with bunk beds including the otherwise free floor space in the middle of the room.

Try the other options suggested to you then. Or just sleep on a rooftop, I did that when I arrived and had no money.
