Park Island feel in Clearwater Bay?

    Hi all,

We live in Park Island on Ma Wan at the moment but may need to move because of work. The thing is we love it here!

Does anyone know of any great community feel places in or around Clearwater Bay area? We're looking for somewhere with great facilities, preferably near the ocean, and with good transport links.

Budget is tbc but likely up to about 25k.

If not CWB, any other suggestions that would be easily commutable to Quarry Bay!Tseung Kwan O?

    Thanks!

I guess eventually Lohas Park may have that, when it reaches the 50 tower mark...

CWB isn't like a Park Island or DB. You might get a small sense of community in some of the gated estates, but your budget won't stretch to one of those.

Your list of requirements points to Lohas Park, which is becoming more and more popular with expats pushed off the island by high rent increases. You would have to put up with nearby construction, but it seems a nice place to be from our viewings.

Lohas park does seem to tick all the boxes. I'm seeing 1400sq ft for about 18k!!

Also seeing comments about construction, dust, air pollution, smells and humidity though...

Will give it a look and make a call

Only saw the Tseung Kwan O to Lam Tin tunnel (Planned) on google maps just now and did some searching and found the above govt proposal, TKO is going to be great if they build it, the bridge across Junk Bay with walking/cycling path looks awesome.

No doubt that this will be great for the infrastructure, but on the "awesome" bit I am not sure. We should go and do some comparisons of proposal and real picture of projects in the past 10-20 years. The proposals always look green, the real world like what you would expect from the front-yard of a container port if you know what I am saying. They do like their rusty steel railings to cage us in and make sure we stay on path. And whatever space is left will be filled with concrete or a lory car park usually.
