    Belcher's

    Hi everybody,

I'll be moving to HK in a month and one of the places we're considering is the Belcher's. We're considering a BR for me, my wife and my 1 yr old daughter. I'll be working in Central.

Do you recommend the Belcher's? Even if you do, are there things that you dislike about the apt?

    Thanks!

It's a fairly nice complex, 10-15 minutes to Central by public transport or less than an hour walk. Easy access to shops and restaurants in Kennedy Town with a large Wellcome supermarket. It also has a decent resident's club.

Its a nice place. We frequently shop at the supermarket there or go to the restaurants and the only observation would be (and keep in mind we're sort of isolated where we live in Pokfulam) is that its a little bit crowded on weekends and the efficiency of the apartments is not as high as some of the older buildings in Pokfulam.

There are a few more western bars / restaurants within walking distance (near the Merton and in some of the side streets).

I very much like the neighborhood and the conveniences, but after viewing a few apartments, we opted to live outside the Belcher's complex. The density was just a bit much for our taste and it is a bit overpriced as well.

Which area/complex did you chose then, if I may ask
