    Neighborhoods/Resources for an Apartment

Moving to Hong Kong from the States, office in Quarry Bay but don't want to live too far from expat life. Can't afford much more than HKD 8000/month.

Any advice on what neighborhoods to look in, or any (online) resources to help my search? I probably need a roommate...

Check the classifieds on this website for flat-shares, otherwise you'll be living way out in the sticks.

BTW, what is your definition of "expat life"?

Expats run the full gamut: most people's domestic helpers are expats (in fact, that would be the largest single group). Then there are economically high-flying professionals in fields like law and business, not so high-flying professionals like teachers and NGO staff, missionaries, "teachers" from language mills, small & not so small business owners, asylum seekers and refugees ... ... ...

and pretty much all groups can be found all over the SAR!
