Question Moving to HKG In July. Looking for accomodation

    Hi,

I am looking for accommodation for me and my wife, we will be moving in July. We both our modern couple and Indians, and would love to stay in a nice area but closer to where we can get Indian food and meet like people for gathering. 1-2 rooms is enough but looking for a unit that comes with a gym. Budget <15k. Is that possible to get a unit near MTR so travel time is no more than 30 mins to central.

What areas are recommended. Also is it necessary to get an agent to find a place or are there forums where landlord themselves post avoiding the hassle of an agent. Any recommended property rental sites?

    Many thanks

For your budget Tseung Kwan O may be good. You can rent 2 rooms for $15K. There are quite a few Indians in the district. You will need an agent to rent an apartment. 2 months deposit+1 month rent + half month agent commission. Total 3.5 Months So be prepared.

It's difficult to find a place without an agent, but it might be possible! There is a classifieds section on this website.

I used to live in Pacifica in Lai Chi Kok and there's quite a few Indian families in our development.

Price is within your budget and there's Chungking mansions in TSt for Indian restaurants and groceries.

There's also an Indian restaurant nearby Pacifica too

Easier to create a new post as opposed to piggy backing off of Johns post.

Quick answer is look for vacancies for physios in hk then take it from there
