    Bringing enough USD cash

    Hello All,
    Just want to know - how much enough cash in USD which will be changed into HKD at airport after entering HK is enough to live during first month stay before I get bank account and my first pay and etc?
    Please let me know.

    It really depends on where u stay & what u need to spend. Frugal from usd1000 or more.Rate hkd7.6.
    3 star hotels, usd150/hk1150 per night.
    Food and misc daily basis usd25/hkd190. etc.... count it yourself.

    Don't change it all at the airport, terrible exchange rates there.

    The rate you should get is 7.72 if you change at a good place.

    You should get the best rate using the ATM at the airport. Changing usd at Berlin Exchange rate 7.732

    Interesting. There seem different levels of rates. The guy in Mirador Mansion who buys for 7.72 sells for 7.735

    This is for cash, right

    I believe when you have wired in you get more, 7.735 or 7.74
