Does it means that at the end of any lease, if you renew it, you have to pay agent fees again?

If you renew directly with the landlord and not involve your agent.

LL can buy an empty copy of the tenancy agreement form from stationary shops and you both agree and sign and keep a copy each. easy peasy and no need any agent to do fuck all and still get commission.

Thats what I have been doing with my LL for 8 years now.

It still should be stamped. Easy to do, but important.

The cost of the stamping is usually borne equally between the landlord and the tenant.

No reason to involve an agent. Do it yourself.

That is provided you have basic sense to know the market price, tell the landlord, pay the market rate. And get one or two things fixed for free for renewing.

If you want to pay someone to do it, let me know

Thanks Mandy. I'm not used to the Hong Kong market at all so will most probably require an agent.
