Red face Where to rent, work central, salary 1m

    Hi,

Newbie here. I'm moving to HK this summer. Work will be based in central, base is 1m, single gay male. Looking for 1 or small 2 bed, 500 SQ usable area at least. Like to keep rent below 25k.

    Thanks,
    Peter

Thanks, like eating out, not a party animal, but don't want to be in a very quiet area either. Ideally within 30min commute.

    Lol @ Tinder profile.

I agree with the suggestion of Sai Ying Pun and would also suggest to take a look at Sheung Wan.

There are no gay districts that have, uh, come out yet, but according to the following article, apparently Sheung Wan has a few gay bars:

    https://www.google.com.hk/amp/m.scmp...bars%3Famp%3D1

On that note, take a look at Kennedy Town as well, its close to Sheung Wan.

Admittedly, other than nightlife, I have no idea on what a district needs to be conducive to a gay lifestyle, so take my post with a grain of salt.

Tsim Sha Tsui has a few gay bars, is close to Central and in general has a good nightlife scene.

I'm not sure if they fit in your budget, but look into the apartments above Elements mall/Kowloon station, they're expensive but very convenient. They're only a train stop away from Central and close to some of HK's best malls, museums, hotels and entertainment.

Best of luck with your search.
