How long before moving should prospective tenants start looking?

    Hi,

My contract is up on my flat just after CNY at the end of February and I am thinking of moving. I want to move as I am fairly desperate for a bigger place and wouldn't mind living somewhere a little quieter.

When do you think I should start looking for places to rent? Is January too early and how busy/ quiet is the market then?

Also, based on what I've seen on 28HSE, the area from Tsuen Wan to Cheung Sha Wan is probably where I'll look. Any ideas what I can really get in that area for 10,000? Also, any agent recommendations?

Around Xmas. The agents do work on PH (except Chin. New Year.
28Hse is the most visited at the moment. Try them. Half of the listers are property agents .

    can try 591.com
i think is more reliable than 28hse, 28hse tooo many fake ads, and the agents there always not reply.

10K, is not difficult for your expected area. depends how big you expected.

to look for the new apartment , better 0.5 to 1 month before the tenant ended.
as too early, they won't hold for you (unless you pay), and good deal going very fast.
