    Need a place to live

    Hi,
I am currrently looking for a place to live anywhere between wan chai and kennedy town. I am firstly looking for a one bedroom/studion place below $4000 otherwise I guess I would be looking for a flatshare below that price, I am just a bit nervous about flatsharing because I have never done that before.

I am 23 years old, currently working at a 5 star hotel on Kowloon side. Very easy going laid back guy who just likes to have fun, relax with friends and enjoy life.

Anyone out there that can help me out?

Why do you want to live between Wan Chai and Kennedy Town when you work on Kowloon side? For now, I can only guess that it's because you like Lan Kwai Fung or need to be on HK side past 12mn. You can find cheaper options or bigger places for the same amount in Kowloon than HK side.

If you really insist on getting a studio flat on HK side, finding a place below HKD4,000 is possible but it might be around 100 sq ft.
    1. Post what you're looking for in online classifieds. It's quick and easy and you might get a response. Hong Kong Apartment Wanted - Lease. You'll find a bunch of other websites if you just search on google.
    2. Walk around the Sai Ying Pun - Kennedy Town area to find local agencies (or get their numbers and contact them). I doubt larger agencies are that interested in cheaper flats.

I don't recommend flat sharing because you never know what might happen. If you do share a flat or rent a room, get a legal contract to make sure everything is clear and you don't end up on the street or lose money.

I've seen a couple of adds for places that are around 100-200 sq ft for around HKD4000. I saw one for HKD4500 for a slightly bigger place in the area around HKU.

As you mentioned you might look for flat sharing below HKD4000, I doubt you will opt for flat sharing at HKD7,000 to 10,000. For that price you can get a bigger place in the Sai Ying Pun - Kennedy Town area. It might not be as nice as those apartments but it would be really convenient. Seen ads for nicer buildings with pools and other facilities in Kennedy town dropping close to HKD10,000 for around 400-600 sq ft.
