    Landlord flexibility

Hi everyone . May I get some advice on a landlord situation please. Thank you. Basically, my new place can not provide me with a confirmed move in date until early August. They just said that I might be able to move in before August 15th but cant guarantee and that I would need to have a plan B in case. My current lease ends Aug 15. I have already given notice to my current landlord but asked them if I can confirm if I need to stay longer past Aug 15th in early August and I would pay the one week difference. Do you think my landlord would be flexible with this? Thank you.

If you give a notice and it works with the landlords schedule then probably. If it doesn't work with his schedule then you have to respect that.

do you not have a signed and stamped lease with the new place?
    seems not
your current landlord holds probably 2 months deposit so he/she can just deduct accordingly
