If she wants you out that much, negotiate with her for a return of your deposit (less the cost of furniture removal and disposal). The law is on your side (that she needs to do an eviction) so if she is willing to return most of the deposit, you agree to make a quick exit. This is the fallback position if you can't manage to negotiate staying as long as you stick to the rules...

Yes. Posters bdw and MABinPengChau are correct. Better to consult a legal rep for more detail.

Since OP seems to have learnt his lesson, I will give an unbiased suggestion.

Renegotiate with the Landlord to extend the notice period for easier relocation. Make it reasonable. Highly likely your deposit is gone or withheld until further notice since you breached the contract and incurred financial losses for the landlord (junk removal and rent).

End of the day, you will need to move. Just a matter of how and when. Going to court, you will both "lose". And I assume the slum landlord will have more time and money to burn than a young tenant. So pick your battle.

That's horrendous. Do you know what that staircase is there for, right? In a FIRE, you must NOT USE THE LIFT. You have to use the staircase, so having clutter on it is deaths waiting to happen. This is seriously fucked up. I'm not surprised they are trying to evict you.

I’m impressed the OP wrote a novel with hardly any spelling mistakes! If only the OP took as much care with not leaving junk in common areas. What a character.

Think of it from the perspective of the landlord and building management. Would they risk the lives of all the residents for someone who has proved themselves to be inconsiderate ?

You would have been asked many many times and given many opportunities to remove the furniture, but you chose not to. You were too cheap to pay and put the table into storage.

How would you feel if that happened outside your parents flat? and there is a fire and it prevented their escape ?

Or your mum and dad had a heart attack and the ambulance workers could not get to the apartment and the stretcher pass the blockage to save your parents ? and every second counted ? How do you feel now ?

What kind of person are you? The landlord / agent warned you immediately, you ignored them and then continuously putting new items on top 3-4 times, and you've kept ignoring their on-going warnings for 3 months

Consult a legal rep? You mean a lawyer? That would be a waste of cash.

Just do as BDW and Mab have advised, and don’t pay any more rent until you have a resolution.

To be honest he deserves lynching for putting lives at risk. On the other hand he does seem to have some understanding he did wrong and will change so I would spare the noose.
