Hi Geoexpat members,
I am looking to buy a flat in Hong Kong, but cannot decide which estate is the best choice. I have mainly been looking for a 3 BR 1,000+sqft. apartment on HK island, although i did have a brief look at Kowloon Station as well. I am interested in a residential complex (ie one that has a big clubhouse with private grounds) rather than a standalone building in the middle of a highstreet. I have looked at Island Resort, Grand Promenade, The Belchers and Residence Bel-Air and although they are all nice, they all have something negative eg. Island Resort is a bit far away and faces the cemetery, GP was really crowded and noisy with hoardes of kids when I went on the weekend, The Belchers has a strange shape for a living room (non-rectangular) and lacked a balcony (which I would prefer to have one) and Residence Bel-air although looked the nicest seems out of the way from shops and restaurants and is the most expensive.
Can anyone suggest other residential complexes that is not more than HK$8,000/sqft? Or can someone who lives in the mentioned complexes above provide their views of living there (pros and cons)?
Any advice would be deeply appreciated as I am on the brink of giving up. Thanks in advance.
