    Looking for interior designer/contractor

I have just bought a flat in North Point and need to renovate it before moving in. The flat is only 4 yrs old, so I will not be redoing everything. Perhaps just knocking down a couple of walls, converting a bedroom to a walk in closet, opening up the kitchen etc etc. Can someone please provide some good referals to good interior designers/contractors whom they have been satisfied with in the past? Any advice on places to buy furniture and tips on renovation would also be greatly appreciated Thanks!!

We had a really nice woman help us with our office, and she tends to do more residential than commercial properties.

Her name is Mable Lo [email protected]

You can try One Stop Design & Build Service. They do good quality work and are reasonably priced. They do residential and offices too.

    Hi Badbull,

I have a very good experience when I purchase my plat in TKO during 2007. I had bad experience in the past dealing with these specialist as I'm not expert in this area and they tend to make you feel not being in the full picture with actual material being used. Another word I feel the price I paid for and not get the quality promise/expected. After all its a great investment we are putting into with our flat, I find honesty is vary important don't you agree? Until I came across Mr. Dante. He is honest and trustable individuals to leave the keys to. They are reliable service with quality workmanship for a reasonable price. If you are interested you may communicate with them:

    INTERDECO ENGINEERING
    Email: [email protected]
    Telephone:
    for Cantonese - 91041407
    for English - 97461407

Good luck! I know its a big headache!

    Badbull,

Saw your post on referrals on interior designer/contractors.

I recently moved into a old apartment (20+ years) and the contractor stripped and gutted my entire flat, knock out 2 walls and done the windows, electric wiring, new water pipes plumbing, new floor, bathroom, open kitchen and lights in 7 weeks.

The guy was referred to me via a friend's brother who used him before. I found the guy is pretty reasonablable prices and most importantly - he doesn't cut corners in his work nor quotes $$$ for additional features after he begins work (sometimes you will wish to add something that you didn't think of in the beginning, and he can quote you an additional price).

I didn't use an interior designer as I wish to save money, so I followed all design work/furnature design myself. It's quite simple if you have the time outside working hours and you can get the dream flat that you want and not some design company's vision!

I can email some before/after photos if you like and ask if he can accept a new job at the moment. Pass me your email for photos.

Also do you speak Cantonese - because he's a local HK guy.

    Regards,
    Ken

    Design

    Hi,

If she needs to design, then depending on how many drawings, etc. she can provide a quote for you just based on that. As far as I know, the package include material, samples, and layout plans if needed.

    Goodluck mate.
