De Victoria Serviced Apartments-Looking for reviews.

If anyone has stayed at De Victoria Serviced Apartments, I would appreciate hearing about it: The good, the bad and the ugly.

    Thanks in advance!

I saw their ad in Causeway Bay. The price is really good.

i stayed there last year for a few months.

It is not bad a short term stay. Of course, if you are planning to be around for a while then cheaper options are around.

Location was good. It felt great to be staying right in CWB.

I stayed in room 613. this one does not face the rd, so I got no view (only the stony complexion of the other building). Downside - the lighting is quite dark even on a sunny day. Upside - little roadside noise even during the day.

The security folks are quite friendly and helpful. Their English is a bit flakey but they do their best to help. I really did feel secure there... Once I left my keys in the door and enter my apartment (duh....) and it was only 10 minutes later that one of the security guys on a patrol noticed (and told me not to be so stupid next time).

The fitness room is rather spartan, but the equipment does work (only used it twice though). Laundry room (if you get the ones without a washer/dryer inside ur aparment) is fairly well equipped.

It is only 'semi serviced'. For my particular apartment - they only mop the floors / wipe over the bathroom. Not sure if the bigger (more expensive) apartments have better service.

The only thing is -- it is a bit expensive these days.

Hope that all helped. PM me if you have specific questions.

i'm wondering if anyone has any more recent information about devictoria - especially compared to studiostudio or empire studios. any pictures would be great! (their website and staff aren't too helpful :/)

I too am looking for some info about this place. I sent some emails to them but they're very vague and stated they have no pictures to show. Sounds kinda sketchy.

    - their staff is quite rude
    - in their smaller studio units the bed is "high tech" and comes down from the ceiling (you can store it up there during the day...very strange)
    - i think the building is quite old, and maybe the insides aren't great either - very poor lighting
    - no windows in the smaller studio units
    - i think you have to pay $500HKD for linens or something like that...

you can find some pictures here:

    search for de victoria

i have some extra pics of cheaper units that don't come up from the search. (got them from a realtor.) pm me if you want to see them :]

    hope this helps!
