Accomodation around Kowloon Tong

I'll be going to City University this fall and need to find a place to live for at least two semesters. My budget is 5K (incl bills). Would prefer to live on my own but think it may be out of my league.

Since this station is on a east rail line, are there any places along the rail line that is significantly cheaper than living near the university?

Are there any other internet sites (other than craiglist) that provide good information to foreigners??

for your budget you will probably have better luck in areas of Mong Kok, Shek Kip Mei etc. Kowloon tong itself is quite an expensive place to live in my opinion.

check out http://www.gohome.com.hk for reference and find an area where your budget can get you something that you like and go that area and find a local agent, they will be able to help you out.

Loads of cheaper places on the east rail line up north, if ur willing to commute up to 1/2 hr, you can find village houses for about 5K.
