2 Female Aussie students need a place to live!

Hey, we will be coming to HK in mid Aug - mid-Dec. I will be studying at HKBU and my friend at HKU.

Looking for room to rent/house share/serviced apt on HK Island. Somewhere furnished, central and 'trendy' without blowing the budget.

Know of anywhere or want to organise a flatshare? We are laid back, fun and will promise not to make you eat vegemite

    Cheers!

    Hi there,

I'm in the same boat, moving from Adelaide to HK to study at HKU for 6 months as of August 19th, and trying to find accommodation so far has left me with very little faith in humanity!

Everyone keeps saying live in a residence hall, but I'm pretty sure applications are closed already (and thank god for that, because sharing one very small room is not my thing!). Another option is serviced apartments apparently, but everything seems to be fit for a budget of a person who is working and earning ridiculously large amounts of money...I've even tried the private rental market and found more than a few decent places, but they always get snapped up before my boyfriend can get there for an inspection

I'd be keen to get a flatshare if you're interested, just message me via the private message thingy on this site if you want to have a chat about it, or even just pool resources on where to look!

    Hi,

You guys interested in flat-share? I currently live in a small closet in kowloon, my one-year lease is up and I would love to move to one of the newer apartments around. I am a Sydneysider working in HK - so shouldn't be too much of culture shock

Please keep me posted if there is interest or any general queries

    Thanks

    Arthur

I wonder where all these exchange students end up? 6 month rentals are not that common in Hong Kong, while serviced apartments are expensive in locations near to the universities. Hope they don't have to rent a small room in Mirador Mansions for their time here.
