    Wan Chai

    Hey there,

Am moving to HK on the 2nd (http://www.geoexpat.com/forum/thread57739.html) and am hoping to rent a flat in Wan Chai.

Now, shoot me out of the water if I've got it all wrong but is it feasible to find a decent 1bed flat, say around 500 sq ft in that area, fully furnished and preferably a modern interior.

    With a budget between 10-15k a month

very do-able size and price-wise but modern decor you may have to do yourself from ikea/pricerite both nearby in causeway bay

Yes it is doable, I'm living in Wanchai at the Morrison, built 2 years ago, $14.5k unfurnished, 660 sq ft gross. 2 bedroom (but v small!)

Agreed. You may also check out Cathay Lodge. It is quite new with modern decor. They have one bedroom at around HK 12000.
