    Metro Harbour View apartments

Does anyone have any views on this apartment complex? Why is it so much cheaper compared to the other apartments in the Olympic Station area?

Also, any current residents looking for a female roommate?

Its the furtherest away from the MTR and not connected by the footbridge like Harbour Green next to it. Its about a 10 minute walk to the station which I think will be quite bad in the summer.

But yes, I agree with you that I think it is a bargain for the area.

I am thinking of moving in to Metro HarbourView, the apartment is 2 bedroom hall kitchen, the rent is around 10k, bare minimum furniture, great view, not serviced etc.
I'd like to know few things before I make my decision -
    1. Are there any buses from MHV to TST mtr and Central? Also what are the travel times to both these places?
    2. Is the rent amount standard for MHV?
    3. Are there any serviced apartment in that complex or just normal ones?
    4. If anyone staying there can give their views on pros/cons of living there then I'd be grateful.

    Many thanks.

I dont live there, but in "Shining Heights" just across the road. There are plenty of buses around. GMB 3 goes to TST in about 15 minutes during peak hour (it goes down side streets like Shanghai st and Reclamation st so its quite fast). GMB 12B goes to MongKok/MongKok East. For Central, there is KMB 905. This is very fast coming out of central and the first stop after western tunnel is MHV. But unfortunately going into Central it takes a different route and basically completely bypasses MHV. I've gotten into the routine of walking to MTR in the morning and taking the bus home in the evenings.

The pros - Cheap, <10yo building, still very central location and can actually walk to 4 different MTR stations within 10-15 minutes (not so good in the summer though), central is only 2 stops (5 minutes) away once you get to the MTR.

Cons - Very local and not expat friendly area (for some people may not be a con).

Sorry cannot really comment on MHV itself as I dont live there. You might want to check out shining heights across the street. Its brand new.

Thanks for the feedback bdw, appreciate it.
But wouldn't shining heights be more expensive?

Yes Shining Heights is a bit more expensive than MHV, but still cheaper than other building in the area like Harbour Green, Island Harbourview, Long Beach, etc.

The Wiki on MHV has been updated recently, now includes some of its transport links etc.

Apparently one of the things that makes it a bit cheaper than others (on top of the things mentioned) is that there's a funeral parlour across the road - bad luck.
