A new Japanese restaurant just opened for the ramen and sushi...
Not too many Westerners, I'm almost tempted to speak to any ones I see!
As for the schools, the mall itself has some great learning centres, offering everything from drama, art and piano to Mandarin, literature and science. There are good international schools at Stanley... And a good state (I think) school called HKU gaps or something. It's got great views, weather depending and is quiet and more relaxed than the centre of madness. It's far, out the way, but peaceful and cheaper.

My husband, 21m old, and i will be moving to HK in a couple months. IR caught my eye as it is new, more spacious, and has loads of amenities. I'm looking for a 3br/2bath.....does anyone know the current rent for such an apartment?

How is life around IR/Chai Wan with a young family?
    Are the decent schools nearby?
How long would the commute be from the airport to IR? Would one take taxi or MTR or a combination of both? or even bus? Not sure which is the best way....my husband will be traveling alot so this info would help.
Is the Park and Shop there large with enough selections (any western goods?)
We are coming from Canada (HK born but raised in Canada).

My sister lives in Taikoo Shing and tells me Chai Wan is too far away, but i am drawn to it by the peaceful landscape, better air, larger space and cheaper rent.

Any experience/thoughts would be greatly appreciated!
