Need a flat in New Territory

    Hi,
I would like to live in Hong Kong, and basically would like an area that is not too pollutted. How does the NT rate in air pollution ? Anyway can someone please recommend some real estate agents or brokers that speak english and can help me locate an apartment there. It is a big beginning for me and I don't know where to start or who to contact.
    Thankyou, ricktea

    Hey Rick,

I've living in the NT right now, right outside a big country park with lots of hiking, fishing, mt biking and beaches nearby. Both my gf and I are thinking of moving to HK Island though, to be closer to work. I've sent you a PM if you're interested.

Horizon Suite Hotel in Ma On Shan

    Hey Rick,

We live in Ma On Shan, on the Ma On Shan KCR east line. Its about 45 minutes from Kowloon and 1hr to 1hr 15min from Central. Its much quieter in the N.T.

Here is the website if you want more information on the complex we live in.

The apartments are fully furnished, and we like it. Have lived here for 1 month now and are on a 12 month contract.

Wow, thankyou both your kind incredible help. The NT sounds like a real nice quiet place. With my allergies I cannot take the pollution for very long, I assume NT has better air quality ? Am I understand you live in that lovely hotel, it is quite a place thanks for the link, I will check my other email to look into the other kind reply that I received. Are any of the islands in HK as good as NT also , like makau or other. I'm afraid my budget is not astronomical, would I be able to find a decent place in NT or one of the islands for $500-600 U.S. dollars each month.
    Thankyou all so much, tea

I'm paying HK$5100 which at todays rate is about US$660. Like I said in my PM to you, thats inclusive of everything, right down to dishes and utensils! You really only need to bring your suitcase!

We are going to look at your place next time we come over. Didn't make it that far last time. What are the good and bad points from a resident's perspective? I would want to be able to use that shuttle to University to catch the KCR north to SZ.

Sorry stupid question, but isn't it worse for you if you are close to nature with the pollen etc.?

    Hi WeLuvDodgeball,

Do you get a discount off the advertised price for contracting a 12 month stay? How much are you paying per month, if I may ask. Looks an interesting place. Will check it out the next time I'm here in a couple of months. Was looking for something like this on this visit.

    Thanks!
